First Visit Expectations

What to expect at Naples Pediatric Dentistry

Naples Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommend children first see a dentist by their first birthday to ensure their smile is healthy and developing properly.

Your child’s first visit isn’t just about us getting to know them, but also you getting to know us! We are happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have about our practice.

During your child’s first visit, we will ask you some questions about your child’s medical and dental history. Certain medical conditions or medications can impact their treatment plan, so we will also ask you to list any medications, vitamins, and supplements they are taking and their dosages.

One of your hygienists will clean your child’s teeth and apply a fluoride varnish. They will also go over proper brushing and flossing techniques with you and your child. Dr. Marilyn Sandor will then perform a comprehensive oral exam, which may include dental x-rays and a visual exam. She will analyze your child’s oral development and check for signs of tooth decay. Once your child’s exam is finished, Dr. Marilyn Sandor will discuss her findings with you. Together, you will create a treatment plan to give your child a healthy, functional smile.

We pride ourselves on providing quality, affordable services. We accept a variety of payment methods, including CareCredit. We can also prioritize and stagger your child’s treatments to give them the amazing smile they deserve in a timeframe you can afford.

At Naples Pediatric Dentistry, we want you and your child to feel relaxed during your visit. Please let us know if there's anything we can do to make your child’s visit more comfortable!
